Favorite carnival moments

My favorite moment in carnival was the "Batalla de Flores", in this, the people show different stuff about carnival through dances and parades, dressing colorful costumes and enjoying with those attending to the celebration.

That parade is made in two avenues in Barranquilla, the first one is the "vía cuarenta", an avenue parallel to the Magdalena river and the second is the 44 avenue that is less showy than the via 40 but the people enjoy it.

Ok, an explanation for the video content (lyrics and visual) could be that the Tuareg people have a eastern culture, they use a large dress that cover the body, also drink tea and they associate this with heal the heart from a determinated situation (dependency or a type of slavery)

An American in Uganda

1. What different points of view do we see in this story?

In this story there are 2 points of view, the first one about the the black man that performed different activities according to his lifestyle in Africa (toil and sweat). The second one refers to the white man that had a different life-view and behavior(comfortable).

2. Explain the reasons behind the miscommunication that occurred

between these two men.

The reasons are that the difference between the lifestyle, thinking, manners and life-view difficult the communication because the black man didn't grow with the same education that the white man had or the white man didn't know about the native stereotypes. These reasons doing a hard communication between them.
